In-Kind Donations

Not all support comes in the form of financial donations. Contributions of goods, services, and materials can play an important role in supporting our community.

If you are interested in making an in-kind contribution, we encourage you to contact us so we can coordinate your support with current needs and initiatives. This helps ensure that donations are received efficiently and used where they can have the greatest impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Anyone who wishes to support the work of the Association is welcome to make a donation. You do not need to be a member or a former student of Belmont Academy to contribute. We welcome support from individuals, businesses, and organisations who share our commitment to the Belmont Academy community.

  • The Belmont Academy Alumni Association accepts the following types of donations:

    • One-time monetary donations

    • In-kind donations such as goods, services, or equipment

    • Corporate and sponsorship contributions

  • Monetary donations can be made in two ways:

    • Online via our secure donations page using a major credit or debit card

    • Via bank transfer in JMD. Please contact us to make arrangements.

  • In-kind donations are non-monetary contributions such as goods, professional services, equipment, or other resources that directly support the work of the Association. If you would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact us to discuss your contribution prior to making arrangements.

  • All donations received by the BAA go directly toward supporting our programmes, events, scholarships, bursaries, and the operational activities of the Association. As a non-profit organisation we are committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of all contributions.

  • Tax deductibility of donations depends on your country of residence and applicable tax laws. We recommend consulting a qualified tax advisor in your jurisdiction for guidance specific to your circumstances. Feel free to contact us in regards to any supporting details we can provide to assist.

  • Yes. If you would like to dedicate your donation in memory or in honour of a specific individual, please indicate this at the time of your contribution.

  • Yes. Significant donations may be announced publicly, unless the donor requests anonymity. The request for anonymity does not remove the Associations' obligation to disclose the donation in audit reports as required by law. Anonymous Donations may not exceed JMD 1,000,000 / USD equivalent. All requests for anonymity are subject to compliance with AML and evaluation for reputational and legal risk.
